Age Hardening of Ultrafine Grained Al-Ti-Cr Alloys Fabricated by Continuous Electron Beam Evaporation
Supersaturated Al-Ti-Cr alloys were produced by a continuous electron beam evaporation technique. The as-deposited alloy sheets were fcc supersaturated solid solution with an average grain size of about 400 nm. Due to the fine grain size, the hardness of the alloy was as high as 270Hv. The sheet showed age hardening, and the peak hardness of 340Hv was obtained after aging at 623K for 900 s, in ...

We use local quark-hadron duality to estimate the purely nonperturbative soft contribution to the γ * p → ∆ form factors. Our results are in agreement with existing experimental data. We predict that the ratio G * E (Q 2)/G * M (Q 2) is small for all accessible Q 2 , in contrast to the pQCD expectations that G * E (Q 2) → −G * M (Q 2).
متن کاملEvaluation of Titanium Alloys Fabricated Using Rapid Prototyping Technologies—Electron Beam Melting and Laser Beam Melting
This study characterized properties of Ti-6Al-4V ELI (extra low interstitial, ASTM grade 23) specimens fabricated by a laser beam melting (LBM) and an electron beam melting (EBM) system for dental applications. Titanium alloy specimens were made into required size and shape for each standard test using fabrication methods. The LBM specimens were made by an LBM machine utilizing 20 µm of Ti-6Al-...
متن کاملOnline Monitoring of Electron Beam Welding of TI6AL4V Alloy Through Acoustic Emission
Acoustic Emission (AE) Technique is the only Non Destructive Testing (NDT) method that can be thought of to be used as an online monitoring tool for detection, location and characterization of various kinds of active defects during any process. An effective approach of quality control is defect detection during welding process itself rather than by NDT of component after welding. Weld defects g...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of laser beam welding of Ti6Al4V sheet
This paper was aimed to report the 3D finite element analysis simulation of laser welding process of Ti6Al4V 1.7 mm sheets in butt joint in order to predict the temperature distribution, hardness, and weld geometry. The butt-joint welds were made using CO2 laser with the maximum power of 2.2 kW in the continuous wave mode. A part of the experimental work was carried out to verify the weld geome...
